$50 This Month! That’s a Nice Appetizer!!
You can still laugh at $50 a month, of course. It might look something like the above map from around the world even though it still isn’t much. But, at least it just bought me a tank of gas or a year long Medium membership. So, that’s better than a cup of coffee or even a candy bar. But, this is clearly not something I will rest my laurels on. I wondered why we say resting on our laurels: Click this link.
This is one of the hallmarks of my writing — I get answers to things. I am trained as a mathematician, and mathematicians solve problems. I also play chess, but my skill in chess is not as good as my math skills. Nonetheless, my chess skills are still better than most people’s chess skills. So, I solve those problems, too, when I can.
I am a thinker first and foremost, not a writer. But, obviously, I do have to write to express myself. And, I have gotten very good at that. My college degree is in math, but I have a large number of classes in literature and writing. I was always told by my English professors that my work was excellent. One of them even told me that she finds stuff in my papers that she doesn’t even find in the A papers — high praise indeed. So, I can write in…
