We must first specify what we mean by God.
So, we have 18,000 different gods and goddesses. I will assume the questioner is Christian to reduce this number down to one God to discuss.
God has numerous properties attributed to Him. He is tri-omni, which means omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. He is also supposed to be timeless and spaceless. Pitting omnipresent (being everywhere) against spaceless (being nowhere) results in a contradiction. Thus, God cannot exist.
God is claimed to be immaterial — meaning he is not composed of material things like atoms like we are. He is lacking in material altogether. In science terms, we would say he has no mass.
