So, the problem with baseball is that attendance is down. The problem is that there isn’t enough action in the games. I heard about this story on NPR:

This is a complete abuse of statistics, really. I am alarmed and ashamed at baseball for doing this. So, I will solve the problem for you.

  1. Lower the pitcher’s mound back to ground level to eliminate the pitcher’s advantage.
  2. Allow the use of corked bats or even metal bats.
  3. Use a softball instead of a hardball. This will slow the speed of the pitched balls, and the larger ball will be easier to hit. The larger ball will also be easier for the fans to see.
  4. Move the pitcher back about 10 more feet. The longer distance…
