Be Grateful for Medium: Look at This from Quora!!

So, I have recently crossed a million views on Quora. No, I am not a top writer on there. There’s people on there with many millions of views. But, I am no slouch — a million views IS a lot. You can see a little spike pre-2020, but the last year I have taken off on Quora.

In spite of all of this, look at that graph of over a million views. Now, you cannot compare earnings on Quora to earnings on Medium because, I guess, you can’t. Perhaps they pay according to different models. Still, how much do you think Quora paid me for all those answers generating activity on the platform?

Well, I will tell you — zero. Yep, zero.

I have gotten a single $10 payout, but that was for the questions I asked, not for the answers I wrote.

Recently, Quora started paying out for answers, but my two biggest columns were during the time they supposedly started paying for answers. Again, I have made zero for my answers.

I am at about $5.24 I think for my answers, but Quora won’t pay out until you get to the $10 threshold, which could take many more months, if not years. So, I am not waiting for Quora anymore. Why? I have found Medium!!

Medium actually is paying out. I made $57 in January and I am at $65 so far in February. It would take me decades to get…
