Being Right Isn’t Enough
(Sorry About That, Academia)
I am right a lot. Sure, I go down wrong paths at times. Usually, I recognize it and backtrack. But, soon, I am trekking down a correct path once again.
I am quite intelligent, and I am also very creative. These two traits do not wind up in the same head very often. So, I must wrestle with my creativity and intelligence at times. But, having both I think is better than having only one or neither. So, I don’t complain too much.
Now, I have stopped publishing articles on Medium for the most part because the algorithm makes you a slave to it. My spare time is really really valuable to me, and if I could see some sort of further upward trajectory in my earnings at Medium, I would continue to drink the Kool-Aid. But, alas, I do not see this.
I had to stop writing for a little over a month so that I could complete two books that had been on the back burner for a while. But, the site we are building (www.fightchess.com) needs these two books. One is a primer on Fighting Chess (a game I invented that is the next iteration of chess). The other is a book about The Block Transition Tournament, which is a whole new way to conduct a chess tournament (or any other kind of tournament for that matter).
