Does God Transcend Space and Time?
We Show the Fallacy of the Timeless, Spaceless God.
So, Frank Turek here is invoking the Cause of the Universe argument for God. He is saying God is the First Cause or the Uncaused Cause.
Science has debunked this argument because this religious argument claims you can’t get something from nothing. But, nothingness doesn’t exist because there’s quantum foam. At the subatomic level, it’s teeming with activity — pairs of matter/antimatter particles pop into existence and annihilate each other all the time. So, in nature something from nothing is happening all the time.
Now, our universe began as one of these quantum fluctuations as they are called. But, it doesn’t take just any old quantum fluctuation to do the job. No, it’s a special quantum fluctuation. We know the universe came from nothing because it has a zero net mass and a zero net charge. Michio Kaku has done the calculations to show this. He has specialized knowledge, so I have to take his word for it. But, he did those calculations and got a big fat zero, so I can only assume he got it right, for if he was wrong in any part of it, he wouldn’t have gotten zero.
