Fictional Conversation Between Myself and Apollonius of Perga.
Tony was busy working on one of his board games — Dice Power Transfer Backgammon. In the midst of a deep think, the shade of Apollonius appeared before him going from ghostly image to appearing solid and natural.
Tony: Hello, Apollonius! It’s a pleasure to finally meet you!
Apollonius: Well, thank you, Tony. And, I am quite glad to make your acquaintance also.
Tony: Well, I know about your book on the conics, but did you know that I wrote a book on the conics, too?
Apollonius: Yes, Tony. As soon as you published it, I received notification of it in my feed. I keep up with all of the goings on in the math world. I was quite excited to read your book Points, Lines, and Conic Sections. Pappus really liked it as well as Archimedes. We all enjoyed it.
Tony: Wow, I didn’t know it would impress you guys. That’s awesome.
Apollonius: Yes, we are hopeful it will become a required course in the college curriculum before too long. We think it’s that good.
Tony: Yes, I wrote it to be a college textbook. I do still need a solutions manual, though. But, I am hopeful I can get someone to do it. Did you know I wrote you into my book: Caissa’s Daughter?
Apollonius: Yes, you gave me some nice lines.
Tony: I did work on your dialogue, that’s for sure.
