Fighting Chess Starts with the Same Initial Position as Chess.

If you aren’t familiar with the rules of Fighting Chess, click this link.

Tony Vs. FC Bot
1. e4 Nc6
2. Bc4 Nf3
3. Ne2??

The Bot Always Opens with Its Two Knights. It’s Quite Flexible But Carries Threats Sometimes.

Observe that I have left my e4 pawn undefended. Will the Bot punish my insolence (i.e. inattentiveness)?

3. … NxP

Of course, the bot takes the free pawn. I would, too.

Normally, I would just resign such a position against the bot, but I decided to continue on anyway. Maybe something good can happen. Let’s find out what will happen, shall we!

4. Ne3 e5
5. NxN ee

The last two moves featured new capture possibilities in Fighting Chess.

Well, it’s still a pawn up, but now I just have a pawn starting down my king instead of that knight. Let’s continue.
