Fischer’s 1963–4 US Championship: A Historic 11–0 Route
In December 1963, Bobby Fischer turned in a historically great performance winning the US Chess Championship by routing the competition — the first and only time this has ever been done. The above graph is what I call my “Tournament Snapshot.” It is a better device than the cross-table because it gives a sense of distance and how dominant the winner really was.
For the sake of posterity, I will provide the analysis from my rating app.
