I recently saw a YouTube video by Durante Lamar stating all the cult leaders like David Koresh and Jim Jones get their give up everything to follow me rules for membership from Jesus. Jesus does say in the New Testament for people to follow him they must give up everything. There’s other things, too, they get from the playbook of Jesus. But, Jesus, I don’t think invented them.
