Man, that's as up close and personal as I've ever read!

…why I didn’t want to go to school, I wouldn’t have been able to tell you that the kids are so close I can smell food on their breath, and their voices clatter like Mum’s steel saucepans, and my stomach tightens on itself when the teacher yells, and I can see every ugly pore in their skin under the fluorescent lights, and it is just so darn busy I cannot think straight.
