Richard Dawkins’s TED Talk

Richard Dawkins gave a TED Talk in the United States shortly after the 911 attacks. In this talk, he made some important points. Please watch the video (it isn’t that long).

He argues that religious ideas should be scrutinized like any other idea is. If someone believes a certain religious idea, they should be able to explain why.

He also said that there’s two organizations that fund religion: The Templeton Foundation and The Discovery Institute:

I do see they promote some science, but maybe it is a band-aid. I would need to know more about these institutions. But, they both clearly promote religion as he said. And, this is many years after he said it.
