Now, why would an Almighty God create a planet that wasn't perfect--a brand spanking new planet? Why dampen it's glory with objects that would make it look old? That would be like creating an old Adam in a wheelchair with a colostomy bag needing dialysis twice a week. If Adam was created as a robust man, then so was the earth.
Besides, the YEC denies evolution. So, the Almighty God surely wouldn't put anything in His creation that would compete with his almightyness.
