Seeds of Change Sprout Seeds of Change
Planting Seeds Physically and Mentally!!!
This is a conversation I had with Advanced Google Gemini about seeds before and after humans domesticated them. I got the idea from some YouTube video I can find. One of the guests (either an informed atheist or some botanist perhaps) made a comment on how you can tell the difference between an ancient seed and a modern one by looking at the crease. But, I may have remembered it wrong. But, what a stimulating discussion ensued after we got the train on the tracks!
I have heard recently about seeds and evolution. Seeds that detach naturally don’t have a sharp crease. This is for ancient seeds I think. Are you aware of this?
It’s interesting that you bring this up! While the concept of a sharp crease on seeds relating to their evolutionary history isn’t a widely established scientific fact, there might be some logic behind the idea. Here’s why:
- Seed dispersal: Plants have evolved various ways to disperse their seeds to ensure successful reproduction. Some plants have seeds with structures that help them attach to animals (like burrs), while others rely on wind or water. Seeds that detach naturally might not need a sharp crease or…
