I discussed this briefly with Advanced Google Gemini.

Do you know about the Kitzmiller versus Dover case?

Yes, I am familiar with the Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School District case. This landmark legal battle in 2005 centered around the Dover Area School District’s attempt to introduce Intelligent Design (ID) as an alternative to evolution in its science curriculum.

The plaintiffs in the case argued that ID was essentially a form of creationism, thus promoting a religious viewpoint in a public school setting, in violation of the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

The court ultimately ruled in favor of the plaintiffs, concluding that ID is not science and that the school board’s policy to teach it violated the Constitution. The judge in the case, John E. Jones III, stated that ID “cannot uncouple itself from its creationist, and thus religious, antecedents.”

This case solidified the legal precedent against teaching creationism or its variants, such as ID, in public schools in the United States.

I have lately been constructing arguments against God and the supernatural. I have proven that stuff doesn't exist with science equations. I aspire to be great.
