Vera gets a World Championship Contender Level G-score!!

If you Google this, you will likely get Judit Polgar as the answer. But, I submit that this overlooks a very important player of the past (more to the point, omits) — Vera Menchik. I have now processed one of her incredible victories from the 1939 Women’s World Chess Championship. The competitors were mostly champions from their respective countries. Vera Menchik represented England, but she was born in Russia in 1906. Here is my report on her incredible tournament victory (18/19). Enjoy reading about her.
