The Woman's Rights Reign Supreme Here, Supreme Court

There are many reasons why a woman needs to terminate her pregnancy. The decision to do so is hers to make. Input from the father may be considered, but since she is the one that has to actually DO the work of bringing the child into the world, it's her decision to make.

The argument that she must bring the baby into the world is faulty. She may have compelling reasons why she cannot or will not carry it through. Forcing her to do so anyway will obviously bring about the saving of the baby's life. But, at what cost does this come? The argument is myopic by only looking at the baby, who is incapable of understanding what damage is wrought by his or her very existence, but the mother IS aware of these things. So, the damage is being foisted upon the mother and father against their will and intent.

Now, is anyone going to pay the restitution costs to make the parents whole to the point they would be had they been able to terminate the pregnancy? No, this is not even brought up. So, the parents (i.e. mother) will travel or do whatever she can do to prevent the baby from arriving to not have the impending disaster strike.

There are levels of rights. This is why a person cannot yell fire in a theater because it could incite a panic and people stampede. It is seen that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the individual to have free speech.

Similarly, there are levels of rights or an hierarchy of rights involving the mother, father, and unborn baby. The rights of the mother are highest. Next comes the rights of the father. Last comes the rights of the baby.

Once the mother makes her decision, then the doctor is supposed to carry it out. This is how it SHOULD be.

If the Supreme Court does overturn Roe, then that will be a real societal tragedy. But, maybe the Senate can pull it off to codify Roe into law to prevent this nonsense from playing out across our land.

Furthermore, there is much talk of overpopulation and depleting of the world's resources. More people means more carbon in the atmosphere, which then leads to more global warming. Do the needs of the people who are currently on our planet outweigh the needs of the unborn? I think they do.

Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Obama for penning this piece on Medium.

I have lately been constructing arguments against God and the supernatural. I have proven that stuff doesn't exist with science equations. I aspire to be great.
