Wrestling ChatGPT and Stumping It — Twice!!
But, It Did Recognize a Joke I Told!!
I had the following session with it over my lunch break. I was quite surprised at its early failures in the discussion. But, things turned serious, and it did some very good work with large numbers in math. I asked it to conjecture some things, and it did. It also picked up on a joke. This is fast becoming a serious resource for me in my work. Here is our session:
Tony: What number is one more than itself?
ChatGPT: The number that is one more than itself is 2.
Tony: So, two is one more than itself?
ChatGPT: Yes, that’s correct. Two is one more than itself.
